41,000 IEBC Jobs Up for Grabs for Voter Verification Exercise

The electoral commission has announced 41,940 job vacancies for the 30-day voter verification period, which is scheduled to start on May 10.

The temporary staff will include 290 constituency ICT clerks, 1,450 register of voters verification assistants and 40,200 voter verification clerks.

“The temporary staff will support our field staff during the 30-day voter verification period (May 10-June 9),” IEBC Chief Executive Officer Ezra Chiloba said in an advertisement in local dailies on Monday.

This means that there will be one ICT clerk at each polling station, one voter verification assistant per ward and one verification clerk per station.

Eligible candidates have until April 14 to apply. Candidates must apply for the jobs online on IEBC website  www.iebc.or.ke.

The commision is also looking to fill 32 vacancies: 30 permanent county ICT Staff, an elections coordinator for Kasarani constituency and a constituency administrative assistant for Dadaab.

The recruitment starts on May 10 and will be conducted for 30 days in every polling station across the country.
