Naivas Supermarket in Kisumu was a casualty of yesterday’s Cord’s ‘peaceful’ demonstration. Also feeling the heat of Cord’s Anti-IEBC demos was Tumaini Supermarket also in the lakeside town.
As we’ve argued from the start, Raila’s supporters have never exercised restraint in any of their protests, and this one was bound to go the same route.
The issue of excessive and lethal force by the police should naturally be making more headlines, but if the protesters make it a point of carrying stones and using them, then Raila takes the most blame.
