President Museveni will today be sworn in for his 5th term in a ceremony where Presidents Uhuru Kenyatta and Mwai Kibaki are expected to attend.
However yesterday, opposition leader Kizza Besigye pulled one on Museveni by swearing himself in as President.
Besigye somehow sneaked out of his home despite his house arrest being in effect, and dozens of police officers surrounding it.
He went to Kampala amid excitement from his supporters. Crowds surged towards his vehicle as he waved to them, but police quickly dispersed them with teargas and beat them up using clubs.
Besigye was later arrested but not before he took the ‘oath of office’.
Here’s the video.

And some videos of police officers beating up unarmed people.
