There is renewed talk of Ronald Reagan in the United States. Every Presidential hopeful is likening himself/herself to the Cold War President, and Donald Trump has taken it a step further by using Reagan’s 1980 Presidential campaign slogan – Make America Great Again.
Reagan is regarded as one of the greatest American Presidents, whose accomplishments included among others ending the cold war and bringing down the Berlin Wall.
He was well loved, and well known even before he got into the political world.
Up until 1966, he had appeared in more than 50 movies and TV shows, many of these as the lead star. Coincidentally, he played Secret Service agent ‘Brass’ Bancroft in the 1939 film Code of the Secret Service.
A lot of people do not know this, but our founding President Jomo Kenyatta was also an actor. He may not be as decorated as Reagan, but he was part of the cast of the 1935 movie – Sanders of the River.
He played the role of a tribal chief in Nigeria. IMDB even have a page for him.
Jomo Kenyatta did not participate in any other scripted film.
