A man named Godfrey Mburu Waithera was yesterday arrested after a journalist filed a complaint with the police accusing him of sending him steamy, provocative and suggestive text messages. Mr. Mburu Waithera who is a teacher in a Murang’a school was arrested by police after the journalist, in cahoots with the law enforcers, set a trap by agreeing to meet his admirer in Gatanga.
According to the journalist, the gay teacher got his number that he gave out during a roadshow in Gatanga for anyone who would get a story to contact him. Unknown to him, he had helped a man who had thirsted after him. As the journalist narrates, Godfrey started sending him love messages in January forcing him to rebuke and tell him off.
He did heed. Although, on Tuesday this month, Mburu started again, this time introducing himself as Lucy. Suspicion led the journalist to verify the subscriber’s name on Truecaller, and to his shock it gave him the teacher’s name.
Choosing to bait him to the police, the journalist engaged the man in a chat, asked him about his profession and that is when Godfery said he was a teacher in Murang’a. Among the unprintable texts the journalist claims he was sent, is one that read “Please, let us be lovers and let me show how sweet it is just like a woman. Why don’t you give it a try.”
