Just two days after an inferno gutted over 400 houses in Mukuru Kwa Njenga, another fire has burnt down an industry not far from the slum. Huge clouds of smoke were yesterday seen coming from Variety Flooring Works building along Mombasa road near JKIA and property of unknown value was lost in the tragic incidence.
Residents who reside near the industry said that the fire went on for a quite a long time before the county’s fire fighting engines arrived to salvage the situation. Luckily enough, no casualties were reported by the police who later came to investigate the cause of the fire.
