8 Feared Dead As Bus and Matatu Collide Head-On Along Nakuru Highway – PHOTOS

Something is not happening right on our Kenyan roads. Stories of accidents have now become a common read on newspapers, blogs and social sites. A day after a Kisumu bound bus caught fire with passengers aboard, another bus collided with a matatu on Tuesday leaving at least 8 people dead.
The grisly road accident took place near St. Mary’s Hospital in Gilgil along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway. According to eye-witnesses, the 14-seater matatu collided with a speeding oncoming bus that was trying to overtake another vehicle.
Scores of injured passengers who survived the misfortune were rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital where they were given first aid, got hospitalized and are now recuperating. As we pray and hope that the rate of accidents thaws to zero, below are photos of the scene of accident.
