Feisty Orie Rogo Manduli is inviting men to woo her two daughters Alison and Janice, a year after her eldest daughter walked the aisle.
Orie, who does not mince her words however has strict requirements from the men. Speaking to the Nairobian, she said the men “must be understanding, loving, respectful and faithful. If they are not, I will throw them out myself!”
Insisting that they must be independent too she said, “If he is not independent, then what is he coming to do? To live off my daughter and finally me? We are poor, but hardworking. I don’t cure poverty, so I expect a man to take care of my daughters comfortably.”
The former politician will also not allow drunkards and violent to lay a hand on her daughters.
“Couples are not Siamese twins. They can separate if things don’t work out. I don’t want my daughters to be killed by a man,’’ she said.
Revealing that she is an awesome mother in law, Orie added that one year is too short to familiarise with a partner.
“While one year is a very short time for to fully familiarise with a partner’s character, I think people should not go beyond three years.”
