Tejas Hirani, our very own Kenyan speedster has done the country proud by winning the Formula Gulf 1000 races held at the Dubai Autodrome Motorsports Club over the weekend.
The 16 year old dominated proceedings in the series to emerge the overall winner. Tejas kicked off the practice session by setting the fastest times and then grabbed pole position to start the race from the front grid. He then raised the bar for all the racers by breaking the track lap record in Dubai.
Tejas has been tipped to become Kenya’s first Formula 1 driver.
Formula Gulf 1000 is a Competition Driving School that equips young drivers with the knowledge and experience required when they move up to FIA F4, Formula Renault or EuroFormula Open.
Congratulations to the lad.
