Boniface Mwangi is out of the country at the moment. The vocal human rights activist has flown out to Canada where he is set to lecture at TED 2015 at the Vancouver Convention Center. During his visit, Mr. Mwangi met with American rapper cum producer Aloe Blacc whom he showered with praises for being one artiste who focuses on addressing current political issues in the modern day world with his music.
In a Facebook post, Boniface wrote, ‘When l give lectures in the USA l always give example of one active citizen @aloeblacc,my favourite activist-musician. While Jay Z,Beyoncé etc are focused on selling records and minting money,Aloe Blacc videos (Wake me up,The man etc) carry heavy socio-political messages’.
Here is the lovely photo the two took.
