Many would call it a blessing in disguise, but I think its a huge blow to Kenyan football. Talented Divork Origi, son to the former famous Harambee Star’s striker Mike Okoth, ditched Kenya for Belgium.
This was a huge blow to Kenya’s Harambee Stars, who laid a keen eye on the lad as he was the team’s future assignment. The 18 year old was named in Belgium’s World Cup squad alongside high flying players such as Romeu Lukaku, Adnan Januzaj, Vincent Kompany and Eden Hazard, just to mention a few.
The lad becomes the first footballer of Kenyan decent to play at the world cup if he will be granted an opportunity. He is said to be under the radar of Arsenal who are looking to sign him.
We wish him all the best in his career.
