thikaThe nation is still mourning the death of 3 Kenyans following a series of blasts over the weekend. It started in Mombasa on Saturday night, then Thika Road on Sunday afternoon.
Two IEDs exploded in Githurai 44 and 45 bound buses, one at Homeland in, and the other at Roysambu flyover- a few metres from the relatively new Thika Road Mall.
It was the first time since Westgate that Al-Shabaab had hit a non-traditional terrorist hotspot, and hence the reactions were strong. Kenyan now more than ever feel that the president should withdraw our forces from Somalia, although DP Ruto made it clear yesterday that that is not an option.
When we hear of these grenade attacks, most of us rush to find out the death toll, forgetting the injured.
This video was shot by a witness minutes after the Homeland blast.
Watch it only if you’ve got a strong heart. It’s very graphic.
