NTV’s investigative journalist Dennis Okari on Sunday made some shocking revelations. He says that Al-Shabaab planned a Westgate style attack at one of Nairobi’s busiest shopping malls – Taj Mall.
The mall is located in Embakasi, at the roundabout of outerring road, north Airport and South Airport road. In a traffic free afternoon, it should take you about 20 minutes from Nairobi CBD.
According to Dennis, four young men, aged between 21 and 24 are being interrogated by the police in connection to the planned attack. Another man was arrested in Mwingi.

Apparently, the attack was to happen last Saturday at 10:30 am, with a targeted death count of 500. At Westgate, around 80 people lost their lives, showing just how big this was to be.

Taj Mall is a 4 storey shopping mall, featuring more than 80 shops, banks and restaurants.
If there’s a time the government should act on terrorism, it has to be now. Just last night, six people lost their lives in Eastleigh following twin grenade explosions.
