Woman Awarded Ksh 3 Million After She Was Fired For Turning Down Her Boss ‘Sexual Advances’

court-620x350A court in Nairobi has awarded a woman Ksh 3 million after she got fired for turning down her boss’ sexual advances.
Phelezia Olukunga told the Industrial court of Kenya that her then boss, Rodney Keneally, made several sexual advances at her during a business trip to South Africa four years ago. After she refused, she was sent packing. It is then that she sued The Board of Trustees Husbandry Trust and her boss for sexual assault.
Judge James Rika ruled that victims of such assaults should be given monetary compensation for the damages.
