PHOTOS – DP William Ruto Meets SK Macharia

Deputy President William Ruto yesterday shared a podium with SK Macharia – the man who was accused of using his media empire to ensure Jubilee did not get into power.
Ruto had attended Royal Media’s thanksgiving service at St. Mary’s Secondary School, Onsorongai. The event was also a fundraiser where more than Sh21 million was contributed. RMS donated 10 million Shillings, with SK and wife giving a personal donation of Sh700,000.
Ruto gave Sh1 million, with President Uhuru sending him with Sh0.5 million.
SK Macharia was a member of CORD’s summit during the last elections, and many translated that to mean that his TV and Radio stations would give unfavourable coverage to Raila’s opponents. That was however not proven.
