Mobile service provider Orange Kenya has launched new TV, print and online advertisements targeted at Safaricom. The ad graphically shows Kenyans who is cheaper between the two.
Using Safaricom’s green colour, vs their own orange, the mobile company successfully proves that Safaricom is more expensive on all fronts.
Surprisingly, it is cheaper to call from Orange to Safaricom, than from Safaricom to Safaricom.
It will have to be seen how Safaricom responds to this one. They may choose to lower their charges, ignore or involve their lawyers.
