County governors have received customized number plates for their official vehicles. This move follows successful talks with president Uhuru some time back.
The governors had complained that their positions were not being treated as they should, especially after they were told not to fly the national flag.
The new number plates are in the format GVNO (County number)
For instance, Nairobi as county number 47 in the constituency, has it’s governor’s number plate as GVNO47A.
Mombasa, being county number one, has it’s governor’s plate as GVNO01A.
