Yesterday, Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho unveiled Kenya’s first county police vehicles. The first batch comprised of five customized Toyota’s, worth Sh2.5 million each.
Each of them further comes fitted with equipment worth Sh0.5 million, including CCTVs that can zoom upto half a kilometre.

Governor Joho announced that the cars were a donation from the Mombasa Business Community including Ali Punjani, Mr Mukwano, Grain Bulk, My Space Properties, Rising Star Commodities,Toyopet ,Sangani Transporters and the Hassan Joho Foundation. 
He said that 25 more were on the way plus 6 ambulances to be used in the county. 
He clarified that his government had not received any budgetary allocation from the National government.
