Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s son, Fidel Odinga, will marry his Ethiopian girlfriend on July 28th according to sources. This will be his second wedding after his marriage to a Kikuyu wife ended several months ago.
The bride to be, Ms Lwam Bekele, is in her 20’s and is said to have Ethiopian and Eritrean blood. Her father is of Ethiopian origin with business interests in several countries, among them Kenya.
The wedding will be held at the Greek Orthodox Church in Nairobi; the same place he was recently baptized. The reception will thereafter be held at the Lion Club in Loresho, Nairobi.
Fidel’s previous marriage with Veronica Wanjiru, was seen as heavily political and did last long.
