The Terms Facebook and Twitter Now Prohibited On French TV

It’s now a crime to mention the words Facebook or Twitter on France Television. TV personality can only mention the two names only if it’s a news article. This brings to an end the ‘you can find us on twitter ‘ slogan by TV stations.
There seems to be a decree of 1992 prohibiting surreptitious advertising. This means that Facebook and Twitter have been given unfair favours yet there are thousands of social networking sites out there struggling to get recognition.
