We’re now entering the fourth day of no NTV, KTN or Citizen TV. The three stations switched off their broadcasting in protest after the Communication Authority terminated their analogue broadcast.
They removed themselves from all platforms; DSTV, GOtv, Startimes and even ZUKU.
It is not clear what their endgame is, considering they don’t have the law on their side, and increasingly less public sympathy. K24 and KBC are meanwhile the big winners, and if they do this right, they may end up turning the tables permanently.
So, what does your favourite celebrity think of the digital migration?
We have compiled a list of public figures for or against the forceful shutdown of analogue signals. Even here, it doesn’t look good for the three TV stations. This list is based on Tweets and Retweets made by the individuals.

NTV, KTN and Citizen just don't know what they have done to Kenyans. There is a media liberation. No more. Change is here. #DigitalMigration

It's not like this #DigitalMigration in #Kenya caught some TV stations napping. No it caught them too busy admiring themselves. #Click

Breaking up media monopolies GOOD for Kenya. Giving Monopoly to some Chinese guy BAD for Kenya. But where does Agha Khan come from? Muranga?

But why would we give prevalence to foreign investors and oppress local investors ? Did the chinese cast a spell on Jubilee?

I am pro digital migration. I am against forcing everyone to have to pay to watch basic TV. There's something inherently wrong about that.
