The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) will launch a license revalidation exercise for motor vehicle operators next month.
Scheduled from November 11 to November 22, 2024, the initiative will involve a multi-agency approach, targeting tow truck operators, motor vehicle dealers (both new and second-hand), and motor vehicle repairers.
NTSA has called on all motor vehicle owners to comply with the requirements set out in Sections 23(1) and 24 of the Traffic Act Cap 403, which mandates licensing and regulation of vehicle and motorcycle dealers.
To participate in the revalidation, operators must complete an online license revalidation form available on the NTSA website. The deadline for submissions is November 6, 2024.
Following the online process, a multi-agency team will carry out physical inspections of the operators’ premises to verify the accuracy of the information provided.
NTSA emphasized the importance of submitting accurate details to avoid any disruptions during the revalidation process.
For further inquiries or assistance, operators are encouraged to visit their nearest NTSA office or Huduma Centre.
This exercise forms part of NTSA’s ongoing efforts to improve road safety and address key issues in the transport sector.
