He may have lost the elections, but Raila Odinga fight for democracy in Kenya will forever be remembered. Because of him, and other like minded individuals, Kenya now has TNA, ODM, URP and countless other political parties.
For years, Raila was detained by the government for simply advocating for democracy.
Should Raila Odinga bow out of Kenya’s political scene (depending on the outcome of the election petition), Kenyans who did not vote for him for one reason or the other should at least show more respect than they’re already doing. His decision to go to court is well within his rights, and it’s a perfect example of the democracy and justice he’s fought for most of his life.
