Police in Migori have launched a hun for a man who reportedly killed his brother on Wednesday night.
Migori County Police Commander Joseph Nthenge said the brothers were embroiled in a dispute leading to the deadly attack in Masaba area. He however said they are yet to establish the cause of the disagreement.
According to preliminary investigations, the suspect Mr Nyakemwa Wanjogu hit his 40-year-old brother Nyambuch Chana on the head several times with a hoe (jembe).
Mr. Nthenge said Mr. Chana was rushed to Kehancha Hospital by neighbours but he succumbed to his injuries at around 1 a.m.
The deceased’s body moved to Migori Level Four Hospital mortuary.
The suspect reportedly fled after the incident.
