Avril did not feel like featuring in Naiboi’s music video for ‘2 in 1’.
The songbird has finally spoken up about the snub that Naiboi has openly discussed on several instances in the recent past.
Avril was forced to speak after a fan on social media asked why she gave Naiboi the cold shoulder, but later on appeared in Otile Brown’s new video for Kenyan Girl.
“Watched and you all rocked! But you refused to do 2 in 1 challenge yet Naiboi requested you to,” asked a user, identified as @josephinelenah.
Avril explained that she was not feeling the ‘2 in 1’ challenge because she was in hospital.
“@josephinelenah yer I couldn’t was unfortunately in hospital…didn’t feel like getting into it with him .. let people do what they gotta do,” Avril’s replied.
Last September, Naiboi revealed that Avril, Sanaipei Tande, and Victoria Kimani turned down his request to appear in the ‘2 in1’ video.
“Avril told me she was going to send, but I tried calling and my calls went unanswered. For her, I believe she might have not understood the idea, but at least she told me she was going to send, which she didn’t,” said Naiboi.
In November, he explained why the Snub by Victoria Kimani was Worse Than by Avril and Sanaipei.
