People generally love a good payback.
ODM supporters yesterday had the last laugh after nominated MP Isaac Mwaura conceded defeat in the Ruiru parliamentary race. Mwaura came a distant third with Simon Kingara winning the race. Incumbent Esther Gathogo came second.
Many saw this as poetic justice since Isaac Mwaura is who he is because of ODM. Some months back, he made the decision to sever ties with the party that took him to parliament, and even said some nasty things about Raila Odinga.
What he thought was a good political move to endear himself with Ruiru residents turned out to be a gross miscalculation.
