Singer Habida has landed herself an album deal with South Africa’s Gallo Records. The move will see the sensational artist get airplay in South Africa and most of Africa for her new album Love And Play.
Speaking to the Star, Habida revealed how she landed the deal.
“I had been looking for a producer and so I sent my stuff to several producers and in December I got to meet some Warner brothers and Gallo executives, who made me sing on the spot. So Gallo called me back and said they were interested in me and they also had the best deal.”
The deal will see Habida travel to and from South Africa regularly.
She expressed excitement at the prospect of getting airplay in South Africa, which will see her recognized across Africa.
“I was in South Africa and determined to get my music on the radio, I found a PR company and they took me to the station. I had an interview with DJ Sabby of YFm and I gave him all the music I have done to date to get a feel of what South Africa wanted. He and the station picked up Lights up and they have been playing it. A new single, I love you will now be the second track.”
