Over a week ago, University of Nairobi students went on the rampage at a concert organized by the US Embassy.
The angry students were protesting against a new University rule banning any kind of cooking inside halls of residence. They took their anger out on the concert equipment at their premises causing about Sh 100 million worth of damage.
Now, Events giant MO Sound says the Sh100 million loss it incurred at the institution has not crippled its operations.
“This will not affect our planned events or our strategies. We are stable,” Mo Sound CEO Kevin Mulei told Pulse.
“As events organisers and events industry suppliers in the country, this is worrying and something needs to be done,” said Kevin Ombajo, the Events Managers Association of Kenya interim board chairman.
