Babu Owino Says ‘Raila Tosha’ as He Prepares To Battle Robert Alai for Embakasi Seat

He may have presidential ambitions, but controversial student leader Babu Owino is shelving them for now.
Speaking during a radio show on Friday last week, Babu threw his weight behind Cord leader Raila Odinga, and promised to do his best to ensure he becomes the next president.
“While at the university I will try as much as I can to contribute towards Raila winning the presidency,” he said.
Babu appears close to President Uhuru and is particularly close to his personal assistant Jomo Gecaga, but perhaps that does not play well into his political ambitions.
The recently elected Sonu chairman has declared interest in the Embakasi East seat, where he will likely face among others blogger Robert Alai. The two have been exchanging harsh words on social media in recent weeks.
