Akothee is counting the days to her big day with her fiance ‘Mister Omosh’, with wedding plans well underway.
Nairobi Wire understands the two lovebirds will walk the aisle on Easter Monday(April 10) at the lush green gardens of Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club.
We also understand that plans are so advanced that Akothee has already got herself a bridal gown.
Taking to her Instastories on Wednesday, the musician shared a video of herself travelling by train after picking up her wedding dress.
Akothee is currently in Switzerland, where she bought the dress from Mery’s Couture, a Swiss-based Designer Brand for exclusive bridal and evening fashion.
The celebrity singer mentioned that she wanted to shop in Paris, France but due to the protests in the Parisian country, she settled for Switzerland.
“I had planned to shop in Paris, so I could see both my husband, my boys, and my daughter within 5 days, but due to strikes and demonstrations, I couldn’t make it to France or even put an eye on my boys. I also wanted to shop in Paris because I didn’t want Mr. Omondi to see my shopping, especially the dress,” she said.
Akothee said she had to do at least three fittings to find her perfect wedding gown, an Autumn white lace fishtail marvel garlanded with sparkly Swarovski stones.
She said it it is the perfect birthday gift for her as she exclaimed: ‘Omosh has spoilt me completely’.
“I rarely receive gifts in my entire life – people believe I have more than enough, therefore, finding love has taught me how being loved looks like… I’m also glad I traveled; I had to do three fittings to find the perfect dress,” she said.
On her socials, Akothee bragged about how she and her dress were travelling first class.
“I’m really the luckiest girl in the world. My beautiful gown flew first class. And so did I,” she wrote.
Akothee ‘s wedding gown cost her an estimated 4,800 CFH gown (approximately Sh. 690k) while her shoes were 1,200 CFH (approximately Sh. 172k).
