Mwanaisha Chidzuga, Dr Ofweneke Among Big Names Joining New Station, Radio 47

There is a new radio station in town, brought to you by the people behind TV47.

Radio 47 is promising to be one of the biggest names in Kenya, after attracting a bevy of famous names who have previously graced our TV and radio stations.

The new station has released an impressive line up, that includes personalities like Mwanaisha Chidzuga, who will host a daily show.

The former KTN Swahili news anchor will bring you a playful but serious mix of conversation and entertainment.

Another famous media personality joining Radio 47 is Dr. Ofweneke, who is expected to tackle common issues affecting relationships, from a male perspective.

Podcaster Mkamburi Chigogo is also joining the station, where she’s expected to host a show alongside Emmanuel Mwashumbe.

The combination of the sassy, unconventional female, and the authoritative alpha male is billed to produce an entertaining and fast paced show that will rival any on the air today.

Award winning gospel show presenter, Eva Mwalili, alias Mama Taifa is also bringing her skills to the station, as she presents an inspiration show.

Ms Mwalili was previously at Milele FM.

Also joining the station will be Manucho the Young Turk, with a show targeting he youth with topics such as celebrity news, entertainment and other trending news.

Radio 47, which launches on Monday March 13, will also feature former Radio Maisha presenters Billy Miya and Mbaruk Mwalimu. Billy teased his show on Instagram, with a poster of the new station’s FM frequency.

Radio 47 is also launching with a complete catalog of weekend shows, targeting the youth, students, and sports fans.

Among those joining the line up include educationist and Swahili aficionado Ali Hassan Kaluleni.

They’re also expected to air live studio DJ shows on Saturdays and Sundays. Eric Wambugu the OG is reported to be one of the selectors. Also joining the station is TV47’s Liz Mutuku, who is also expected to have her own show.

The station also has in its line up a talk show, involving government officials, politicians and policy makers.

Radio 47 is available in Nairobi – 103.0 FM; Mombasa 92.9; Kisumu 101.2; Eldoret 100.9; Webuye 104.3; Malindi 92.9; Lamu 89.5 and Garsen 89.5.
