Award-winning digital content creator Murugi Munyi(formerly Yummy Yummy) is the proud owner of a brand new Land Rover Discovery.
The ‘The Messy Inbetween’ (TMI) podcaster took to social media Thursday to flaunt the self-gifted luxury SUV.
The Pulse YouTube Influencer of the Year 2022 said she gifted herself the ride because she has been putting in the work as a wife and as a mother.
Murugi Munyi also disclosed she has named her new car, Shaba, Swahili for Bronze.
“Murugi wa Disco đ€© Meet my new machine.. Shaba. Named her that cause itâs Swahili for Bronze đ A gift from me to me for all my hard work, for being a great mom and wife and for never ever ever giving up on myself even when I felt like it! 2023 – mwaka wa baraka!'” she wrote.
The Discovery is an upgrade from a Toyota Vanguard which she recently let go of. She had planned to upgrade last year but she instead invested the money in a clothing, handbags and accessories store in Lavington, Nairobi.
It was a great 2022 for the content creator who also bagged the Pulse Podcast Influencer of the Year and Instagram Influencer of the Year awards.
Murugi was also one of the 13 beneficiaries of Spotify’s $100,000 (Ksh 12 Million)Africa Podcast Fund.
The recipients of the fund are independent emerging podcasters from South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, and Ghanaâthe four African countries with the biggest podcast listenership.
Murugi hosts The Messy In Bewteen alongside Lydia Mukami. They cover love, money, work, life, and advice led by lived experience and all the things that make life what it is.
TMI also provides a safe space for women to discuss their experiences candidly.
