Scottish Premier League Winner 2022/2023 Preview

December 13, 2022

The current season of the elite Scottish football championship started in the last days of July 2022 and will end in the second half of April 2023.

During this time, 12 clubs will play 33 rounds. Then the teams that took places from first to sixth will play in the Champions group.

The teams ranked from 7th to 12th line will fight for the right to stay in the Premier League. If you want to place a bet on who will become the owner of the championship title, we advise you to do this on mostbetuz.

Bookmakers single out two of Scotland’s top giants for the league title, namely Celtic and Glasgow Rangers.

The rest of the teams lagged far behind after the first round, so it’s not worth seriously considering their candidacy for gold medals.

But the inhabitants of the largest city in Scotland still have to fight among themselves for the trophy.

Celtic

Wards Ange Postekoglu in early November flew out of the UEFA Champions League, finishing last in the quartet.

In Group F, the Scottish team scored two points and let Shakhtar, Red Bull Leipzig and Real Madrid pass ahead of them. This failure will allow the “Celts” to fully focus on the domestic championship.

In addition, the hoops have excellent results in the Premier League. In 15 rounds, Callum McGregor and partners got 14 wins and lost once. Celtic’s only loss came in Paisley to St Mirren.

In the summer and autumn segments, the Green-Whites scored 50 goals against the opponents, and conceded only 13.

If the representatives of Glasgow continue to act in the same spirit, the club will have no problems winning the 53rd league title.

After 15 matches in the domestic championship, the Celts were ahead of the Rangers by nine points.

The gap is solid, but given that there are still many games ahead, there is a chance to lose such an advantage. “Hoops” will make every effort to keep the nearest pursuer away.

A strong composition may well cope with this task.

Rangers

The Scots have been ingloriously eliminated from the UEFA Champions League. In Group A, the representatives of Glasgow lost in all matches and missed Ajax, Liverpool and Napoli in front of them.

After disappointing results, Giovanni van Bronkhorst lost his position as head coach and was replaced by Michael Beal. Now the Light Blues will have the opportunity to not waste their energy on the international stage and try to catch up with Celtic in the title race.

The team did not differ in stable results in the Scottish Premier League. In 15 matches, the Jerseys won 10 wins, drew three and lost twice. The Teddy Bears’ defeats were away to Celtic and St. Johnstone. The world inhabitants of Ibrox have painted with Hibernian, Livingston and St. Mirren.

At home, James Tavernier and partners perform confidently, but on the road, the Teddy Bears often lose points.

It will be difficult for the teddy bears to get the 56th championship. Unstable results are unlikely to allow not only to get around the “Celts” on points, but even to catch up.

At the same time, the “light blue” will make every effort to get ahead of the main competitor.

Our forecast

Celtic in the domestic arena looks almost exemplary. A strong line-up is able to solve the set tasks, and even a few defeats will not affect the position of the “hoops” at the top of the standings.

For the Rangers, the current season is not going well and it is unlikely that the Teddy Bears will be able to fully return to the championship race. So, with a high degree of probability, the maximum achievement of the “Jerseys” will be silver medals.
