Gospel Rapper Ngashville Was Anticipating Full Recovery Before He Died

August 24, 2022

As the Kenyan gospel fraternity comes to terms with the untimely death of gospel rapper and chef Anthony Ng’ang’a alias Ngashville, one of his friends and colleague, DJ Sadic, has recounted his last moments.

In a heartbreaking post on social media Tuesday, DJ Sadic said Ngashville was taken ill on Thursday, August 11,  with what he suspected was a bout of food poisoning.

Ngashville, of the Wernono family ensemble, then bought some over-the-counter drugs to treat the symptoms and took time to rest.

But several days later, the father of three daughters sought further medical attention.

“He sought medical attention on Friday 19th August. Medication was prescribed and he returned home. He was in high spirits anticipating a full recovery, however on Saturday, his health took a turn for the worse and he began to vomit blood,” DJ Sadic recounted.

Adding: “He was dashed to the hospital on Saturday evening, and upon arrival, it was established that he had very low blood pressure and recommended immediate admission to HDU.”

As told by DJ Sadic, doctors managed to stabilize Ngashville and established he had a severe blood infection.

“The doctors worked hard to stabilize him and established that he had a severe blood infection. Efforts to treat him were commendable, however, the infection had affected his kidneys and liver function and he was put on life support in the ICU.” The DJ’s post reads in part.

“The doctor’s worked tirelessly to manage the situation but the infection had taken a toll on his body and caused multiple organ failure. The doctor’s advised the family to say their goodbyes and within the hour, Ngash peacefully rested at 7:50 pm on Sunday 21st August,” DJ Sadic shared.

The mix master called on Kenyans of goodwill to support the family of the rapper and chef.

“Please uphold Mercy, their 3 beautiful daughters, his mother, brother and other family members in prayer🙏🏾._*To support the family, kindly send your contributions to:*_Ngashville Medical Fund Paybill No: 7703131 Account No: Your Name.”
