“Where you come from doesn’t define where you are going!” Those were the words of Kenyan songbird Nadia Mukami as she celebrated turning a year older on Tuesday, November 9.
The self-proclaimed African Popstar turned 25 yesterday and was in an introspective mood about how far she has come.
Taking to social media, Nadia also shared with her over 1.5 million followers, pictures from her past when she was just a child.
Nadia Mukami even joked that one of the photos would shock her fans as it shocked her too. The snap shows a young Nadia wearing what looks like a Firirinda dress and orange sandals that were too big for her small feet.

Nadia Mukami attributed her achievements to hard work and thanked everyone who contributed to the opo start she is now.
