In case you didn’t already know, marriage is not a bed of roses.
This is according to the wife of veteran rapper Jua Cali, Lilly Asigo, who has for the first time disclosed that she left the musician after just three weeks of living together.
The mother of three said she faced challenges adapting to living with the rapper. Their child was only four months old and she had a lot of things to deal with.
“I packed my bags 3weeks after we moved in (in 2013) cz I had to adjust to a lot of things plus our baby was only 4 months old,” said Asigo.
She made the revelation on Instagram in response to Jua Cali saying that he holds her in high regard for the sacrifices she made in favour of his career.
According to Lilly, things became better with time as she learnt that what makes a marriage work is what a couple does behind the scenes.
“Over the years I can confidently tell you that, what couples do in private is what will make or break the relationship,” said Asigo.
She further thanked the rapper for his unwavering support and not giving up on her.
“I thank my hubby for handling my mood swings well and for making sure I grow as a person. We have achieved a lot together and I thank him for not giving up on me either,” she wrote on Instagram.
