Remember Karen Njeri Nyamu? The lawyer was one of several women who lost the coveted Nairobi Woman Representative seat to Esther Passaris.
Her campaign slogan was “Bae wa Nairobi”, meaning Nairobi’s sweetheart, as she charmed her way into the hearts of the Nairobi electorate. She was grabbing blog headlines to say the least, and she once stopped a press conference just to fix her make up.
Ms Nyamu, who holds a masters degree and runs Njeri Nyamu and company Advocates, is grabbing headlines once again after she was pictured partaking in a ‘puff, puff, pass’ marijuana session.
‘Bae wa Nai’ was at Umeme Grounds in Ziwani during the finals of the annual Koth Biro football tournament last weekend.
Casually dressed in a pink hoodie, black pants and sunglasses, Nyamu fit right in with the locals. “Mbogi yangu ya power,” she captioned some of the pictures she published on Twitter.

Ms Nyamu, a Director at Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company, was one of the sponsors of the tournament.
When she was called out for smoking weed in public, Nyamu told off her critics saying, “Why don’t you also say that I sponsored cash awards in the individual category in the same tournament?”
Check her out.
