Government Declares Wednesday a Public Holiday

Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has declared Wednesday, June 5, a public holiday.

In a gazette notice dated today, Matiang’i uses powers conferred by Section 2 (1) of the Public Holidays Act, to declare Idd-ul-Fitr a ‘public holiday of general observance’.

The day will mark the end of the holy month of Ramadhan.
