Outspoken Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to dissolve the cabinet citing incompetent ministers.
According to Kuria, Cabinet Secretaries have been implementing policies that make life difficult for the common mwananchi. In particular, the lawmaker criticised the Kenya Bureau of Standards’ move to enforce tough laws on importation of used car parts.
Moses Kuria said the directive will render thousands of dealers jobless as well as make Kenyans suffer.
“Many bad policies are making Kenyans suffer. People are being pushed out of business as ministers lie to the President that all is well,” said Mr Kuria. He further asked President Uhuru to sack “incompetent” members of his Cabinet.
“People are suffering, they have no money, there are no jobs. I urge President Uhuru Kenyatta to dissolve the Cabinet,” said the vocal lawmaker.
Moses Kuria singled out four Cabinet Secretaries whom he claimed had failed Kenyans. They include Trade and Industrialisation CS Peter Munya, Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri, James Macharia (Transport and Infrastructure) and Health CS Sicily Kariuki.
Moses Kuria argued that despite the four holding key dockets, they had failed to come up with policies to boost development in Mt Kenya region.
The MP also called for Mt Kenya region’s unity ahead of 2022 General Election.
