Joseph Ochieng, the main suspect behind Monday’s murder of Muranga GK prison warder Pauline Wangari, has reportedly stabbed himself.
According to reports reaching us, Ochieng has been rushed to a Buruburu hospital following the incident that happened in Maringo.
Apparently, police were conducting a search at Ochieng’s house in Maringo and the suspect was with them. The court had earlier Friday granted police permission to conduct a search at his house as they conduct their investigations. Pauline’s murderer is believed to have also stolen a TV and several other things, as seen on the building’s CCTV.
Ochieng, 24, somehow got hold of a kitchen knife and stabbed himself in the abdomen. The incident happened at around 3pm, and police were quick to respond and take him to hospital.
Murang’a police commander Josephat Kinyua confirmed the incident and revealed that Wangari’s laptop and mobile phone were found in Ochieng’s house.
