A middle-aged man from Murunyu village in Bahati constituency in Nakuru on Wednesday confessed to having carnal knowledge with at least five cows after he was caught in the act by villagers.
29-Year-Old John Mwaura was literally caught pants down after he had snuck into a neighbour’s compound to engage in the unnatural act with a cow. The man is said to have tied the cow to a post before the act.
The cow’s owner, who had gone to the farm to harvest crops, returned to find Mwaura as he zipped up his pants after the bestial act. Enraged, the woman descended on him with blows, stones, and sticks.
She alerted villagers who also pounced on the suspect leaving him with critical injuries.
Mwaura pleaded for mercy and offered to compensate the cow’s owner with a piece of land. He defended himself saying he was overwhelmed by the urge to have sex and that he feared sex with women because of HIV/AIDS.
“Don’t kill me…let me surrender my piece of land to pay for the cow,” Mwaura said.
After being pressed further, Mwaura confessed that the neighbor’s cow was not his first.
“It is not my first time. I have had sex with four other cows in Ndunduri and Wanyororo. I am pleading for mercy,” he said.
Mwaura was whisked to Wanyororo police station for questioning before being charged.
