Wedding Bells For Ruth Matete and Nigerian Fiancé – Photos

June 5, 2018

Former Tusker Project Fame winner Ruth Matete is the latest Kenyan songbird to find love in West Africa.

The gospel music artist, just like fellow Kenyan singer Emmy Kosgei, has been swept off her feet by a Nigerian man of God. In fact, Ruth Matete, who is now a worship leader at New Breed City -a church under Apostolic umbrella of Appointment International Ministries (AIM)-, is set to walk the aisle this year.

She made the revelation this past weekend during an interview on Maisha Magic East gospel show Pambio Live.

The ‘Yamenogea’ worshipper, who has in the past opened up about experiencing difficult relationships, said that God had answered her prayer.

I hoped that God would bring me a man who would stay, someone who would understand my vision and he has finally answered my prayers as I am getting married this year,” said Ms Matete.

The man she is set to marry is John Apewajoye, a contemporary gospel music minister and worship leader better known as Beloved John.

After stints in Nigeria and South Africa, Beloved John is now based in Nairobi where he ministers alongside Matete.

On Monday, Ruth Matete gushed about the former law enforcement officer on social media saying, “If I was to describe how my life has changed since I met you, a day would not be enough for me to say it all.”

“I look forward to doing life with you my love. Thank you for the love, patience and just for the person you are.”
