Police in Kisii County are looking for two male teachers who are accused of engaging in sexual acts with pupils at a bar lodging.
The sex pests were reportedly found in a comprising situation with the minors in two separate rooms at the Balozi Bar in Nyamache town, Bobasi Constituency.
Confirming the incident, education officials from the county said the pair had taken the pupils out for a sports competition at a neighbouring school and were returning when they allegedly lured the minors to the bar.
Area OCPD Japhet Mwirichia told Citizen Digital: “We are on their trails and soon they will be in custody.”
The school’s headteacher said the girls were part of a larger team that had gone to represent their school in a sports competition. He added that the teachers, who teach Mathematics and Social Studies in Class 8, have not reported for duty since the incident.
County Education Director in the county said the teachers had since been interdicted in absentia, further warning of stern action against sex pests.
“We have already blacklisted their names and once they are arrested they will face the law,” he said.
