Kenya’s top comedian Eric Omondi is spreading his wings across the continent having landed a lucrative gig with Boomerang TV.
The popular television channel for cartoons and animated programming has recruited the services of comedians Eric and South Africa’s Tumi Morake for a series of short scripted comedies.
The new show is called ‘The Safari Comedy Show’ and will see Eric and Morake personify some of Africa’s funniest animals.
The Safari Comedy Show will go on air starting Monday 17 July on DStv channel 302.
DStv caught up with the two comedians who opened up about the amazing opportunity and what went into making the comedies.
“I love comedy. It’s my passion. And so the opportunity to not only reach to my usual audience in Kenya but the entire continent of Africa and to reach out to thousands of children and make them laugh..that’s an opportunity of a lifetime,” said Eric.
