Wedding bells are ringing for former Miss Universe Kenya Rachel Marete after her boyfriend put a ring on it.
The actress, singer, and media girl got engaged a little over a fortnight ago while on holiday in Diani and took to Instagram to share the great news.
The beauty queen, a former celebrity TV host based in Los Angeles, California, described the surprise proposal as surreal as she flaunted her sparkling diamond ring.
“Oh my GOSH guys!!! It happened! He asked and I said yes! I’m officially ENGAGED!!!!! ????????❤️❤️❤️. Here I thought we were just walking by the beach to a restaurant near our hotel when suddenly he gets down on one knee. It’s surreal ???,” wrote Ms Marete.
Ms Marete, who won Miss Universe Kenya in 2005, is, however, yet to reveal the identity of her soon-to-be husband.

Having had several hosting gigs in Hollywood, Miami, and New York, and as a news anchor for Transit TV in Los Angeles, Ms Marete returned to the country months ago and has been working towards setting up a fashion store in Nairobi dubbed Mbuki’s Closet.
