Rachael Shebesh, or Mama Nai, as she’s fondly referred to by her supporters, this past Sunday appeared on the Churchill Show alongside three other Nairobi Women Representative aspirants and totally obliterated them in a heated debate that saw one of the aspirants twerk to the audience and the others fumble around unable to put up a decent, bankable argument.
As the incumbent, Ms Shebesh delved into topics ranging from her family to the work that she’s spiritedly done for the last three years and also her intention to defend her seat and expressed confidence in winning the seat for another five years.
As one of the most vocal and industrious politicians, whose style, pomp and candor has won many and endeared her to the masses, Ms Shebesh was resplendent in sports attire that paid full homage to the National Flag – she wore a track suit with the National Flag stripes that ran from her neck to her feet.
Mama Nai also took the chance to shine a light on her achievements as the current Nairobi Women’s Rep – she reiterated her passion in defending and improving the lives of women and the disabled and also said that it wouldn’t matter whether she won the seat again or not, her resolve would remain the same.
Also on the show was aspirants Karen Nyamu, Millicent Omanga and Esther Passaris who recently stepped down from the arduous race to capture the Nairobi Gubernatorial seat.
Millicent was hugely booed and shouted down when she suggested that the Women’s Rep seat should be a one-term only affair attracting huge backlash from the audience.
