During the requiem mass and burial of Jacob Juma, Cyrus Jirongo accused Deputy President William Ruto of killing the outspoken businessman.
Unlike other speakers at the ceremonies, Jirongo was not afraid of mentioning names. At the burial, he even went a step further by narrating how Ruto murdered a young man in the 90s.
On Saturday, speaking in Kakamega during the burial of former Housing Minister Soita Shitanda, Ruto finally gave Jirongo a reply.
He said that Jirongo was a bitter man who could not accept the fact that he (Ruto) had risen to his current position.
“Sasa anakasirika na mimi anaona huyu ambaye alikuwa mtu wangu wa mkono alipitia wapimpaka akawa makamu wa raisi. My friend ni kujipanga,” he said.
Ruto and Jirongo launched their political careers in 1992 as ‘Youth for KANU 92’. Jirongo was much wealthier than Ruto, and perhaps that’s the reason he saw the current DP as an ‘assistant’ as Ruto puts it.
Watch the hilarious clip as Ruto also explains why Raila is not in a good position politically.
