Days after the collapsed Huruma building sent shockwaves across the country, there was panic in Mombasa County on Monday morning after a section of Nyali Centre caved in.
No injuries were reported from the scene. Mombasa county Planning, Land and Housing Executive secretary Francis Thoya, attributed the collapse to poor workmanship and vowed to take action against those involved in its shoddy construction.
Sections of the premises, including Java House, the Boxing Lounge and several banks, were closed.
Mr. Francis added that officials will inspect the building before making recommendations.
