VIDEO: The Day Lucy Kibaki ‘Invaded’ Nation Centre

A sitting First Lady storming your newsroom is TV gold. It’s not supposed to happen, ever, except it did.
It was in March 2005 after newspapers had published a story that Mama Lucy had ‘stormed’ Muthaiga Police Station.
Accompanied by senior police officers at night, Lucy Kibaki ‘invaded’ Nation Centre ironically holding a Standard newspaper. She was looking for the writer of the story in question.
What was supposed to be an attack on media freedom ended up being comedy at its finest. The scene was later perfectly re-enacted by the then Redykyulass crew.
