Pictures or It Didn’t Happen.. Waititu’s ‘Panjab University Lie’ Falls Apart

waititu“The name of Ferdinand Waititu is not in on record as a student of B.Com Degree course during the academic sessions 1985-86 to 1987-88.” reads the one line that threatens to get Ferdinand Waititu out of Kiambu gubernatorial race.
The controversial lawmaker has consistently claimed to have studied at the Indian University, even displaying his certificate to the media.
However, that means nothing if his name does not appear in Panjab University’s records. University Certificates are being forged for a few thousand shillings in dingy offices along River Road and Mfangano Street.
Threatened by Waititu’s perceived popularity, Sitting governor William Kabogo has been working overtime to have him disqualified from the race.
Now in an affidavit filed Tuesday afternoon, Kabogo says that Waititu used the name of his brother, Clifford, in the certificates he claims are his.
“The name of Ferdinand Waititu is not in on record as a student of B.Com Degree course during the academic sessions 1985-86 to 1987-88.”
It adds: “The name of the student having registration No. 85-GC-555 is Clifford Ndung’u Waititu during the academic session 1985-86, 1986-87 and 1987-88 for B.Com through degree course.”
Kabogo has also attached a letter from the Public Service Commission to prove the claims of Waititu’s plot.
“The commission does not have any records of the alleged employment of Ferdinand Ndung’u Waititu on 16th January, 1989,” the letter dated April 22, 2016 shows.
“The issue for determination in this petition is whether the respondent attended university and graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Commerce in the name of Clifford Ndung’u Waititu. I would not therefore produce a forged primary school certificate as alleged,” he said.
Kabogo has further filed copies of birth certificates of Waititu’s brother and mother to justify his claims.
“I am aware that a student was enrolled in Form One at Dagoretti High School on 11th March 1980 under the name Ndung’u Wainaina son of Waititu Ndogi,” he stated.
He stated that while at Ruiru High school, Waititu could not have been admitted under a different name other than the name in the Certificate of Primary Education examinations, Ferdinand Waititu.
“The respondent could not have been admitted to Ruiru High School under the name Ndung’u Waititu, as the results for CPE were under the name Ndung’u Wainaina, the name appearing in the CPE certificate,” he said.
“If indeed the respondent proceeded to Ruiru High School as he claims at paragraph 33(j) of the replying affidavit, the respondent could not have been admitted under a different name other than the name in the Certificate of Primary Education examinations.”
Since Waititu has already released pictures of ‘his graduation day’, I think the issue here is whether Clifford is his real name.

Has he been displaying his brother’s certificate all along?
Is his real name Clifford Ferdinand Ndung’u Waititu? or is that a mash up of his name and his brother’s?
What do you think?
